Free dental care for children

Free care would be offered at hundreds of dental offices and clinics all through Minnesota on Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3. There are no questions asked about eligibility criteria and no long forms are to be filled out. The care is provided free to all children whose families cannot afford to pay for good dental care, but proceeding appointment is as well required.

Care would range from general tests to fluoride treatments, dental sealants and fillings for cavities. Patients seeking appointments need be under the age of eighteen and accompanied by a blood relation or any legal guardian. People interested in arrangement an appointment for their child might do so by calling United Way 211 (just dial 2-1-1) or the statewide toll-free number: 1-800-543-7709. Information on specific services, which would be offered outlined when an appointment is scheduled.

Free dental care offered to

Dental and dental hygiene students from the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry would group up with faculty members to offer free oral health-care services to children from low-income families on Feb. 3.

Children 5 to 12 are qualify for cleanings, simple fillings, X-rays, and sealants. They need to be accompanied by their parent or guardian. It is not necessary to have an appointment. Registration is from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the services would be given from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Facilities treat uninsured, poor and homeless

Serving those people without health insurance -- the homeless, the unemployed and the under-employed -- the clinics are actually free, but patient’s needs to fill out an application to show income eligibility based on central poverty guidelines. Some clinics also provide free medication or dental care.

According to a 2004 Florida Health Insurance study, there were 44,295 uninsured people youth than 65 in Escambia County and 13,012 in Santa Rosa. The study was funded by the State Planning Grant plan of the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration and managed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration.

Free NJ dental-care program to treat 10,000th child

February marks the fifth year the New Jersey Dental Association would now host the national Give Kids a Smile! Program, aimed at giving families tools and knowledge to develop their oral health, while giving treatment to those children who are most in need. The plan is slated to deliver treatment to its 10,000th child, and top $2 million in total free services offered at nearly 80 sites across the state.

More than 2,500 children are expected to take benefits of the plan this year. At the program’s nationally recognized flagship site at UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School’s Newark campus, near 800 children are expected.

Free Dental Care for Needy Children for 5th Consecutive Year

Minneapolis, MN - Families who cannot access or pay for dental care have the chance to check their children receive check-ups and wanted dental treatment in February when more than 1,000 volunteer dentists and even more other dental professionals donate their time and resources to give free care. This is the 5th consecutive year the Minnesota Dental Association has coordinated the Give Kids a Smile outreach effort.

Free care would be provided at hundreds of dental offices and clinics throughout Minnesota on Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3.

Free dental care offered for disadvantaged kids

Capital City Give Kids A Smile would host a day of free dental care for poor children under the age of 12. A pre-screening event would be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 13 in Bible Center Church gymnasium, 1111 Oakhurst Drive. The church is situated on U.S. 119, across from the Ashton Place shopping center. Parents from nearby counties are confident to participate in the event

Maccabi children under 6 can now get free dental care

Twelve years after National Health Insurance was made-up to - but then failed - to have dental care for children in the basket of health insurance services, Maccabi Health Services has recently launched free dental treatment for members up to the age of six.

The service that would be permanent and not a one-time offer would cost the country's second-largest health fund NIS 10 million a year if all its members of that age take benefit of it. It is access starting January 1 at Maccabi's 44 dental clinics around the country.
