Federal Labor is considering offering free dental care for low-income groups as an election sweetener.
The move will be seen as the old Commonwealth Dental Scheme expanded to carry struggling families, plus pensioners and concession card holders.
Shadow Health Minister Nicola Roxon says the Howard Government has let down people requiring work on their teeth.
